Poster enters 2024 as an undefeated Kentucky Derby prospect with a perfect three-for-three record with most recently capturing the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct for his dirt debut.

The Godolphin homebred showed his versatility by successfully transitioning from turf victories at Ellis Park and Keeneland, to handle nine furlongs on dirt. Some late drama developed under jockey Flavien Prat, as the son of Munnings demonstrated professional tactical ability in the Remsen.

Poster launched a sweeping move around the far turn before holding off a determined late run from Aviator Gui to prevail by a nose. While the diminishing margin raises some stamina questions, his ability to settle and produce a winning move at 1 1/8 miles in just his third career start shows promise for stretching out further to 1 1/4 miles.

Trained by verteran horseman Eoin Harty, Poster represents an intriguing mix of speed and stamina influences. His sire Munnings suggests brilliance at shorter distances, but his dam's pedigree through Tapit and Cara Rafaela offers hope for Classic distances.

Poster is currently based at Turfway Park and has earned 10 Road to the Kentucky Derby qualifying points. He appears poised for a serious Derby prep campaign as the colt's running style and professional demeanor suggest room for continued development. His true distance capabilities remain to be proven as he extends race distances further on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.
