Triple Crown winner Justify arrives at Ashford Stud

Triple Crown winner Justify arrived at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, on Monday, where he will take up stud duties beginning with the 2019 breeding season.

A son of Scat Daddy, who stood at Ashford until his premature death in 2015, Justify joins fellow Triple Crown winner and Bob Baffert trainee American Pharoah on the farm's illustrious stallion roster.

In a career that spanned less than four months, Justify was retired over the summer after winning all six starts. Following a stakes debut victory in the Santa Anita Derby (G1), Justify became the first horse to sweep the Triple Crown — the Kentucky Derby (G1), Preakness (G1), and Belmont Stakes (G1) — while undefeated since Seattle Slew in 1977.

Justify is the only Triple Crown winner to end his racing career undefeated.
