A total of 17 Kentucky Derby qualifying points will be
offered in Saturday’s $500,000 Breeders’ Futurity (G1) at Keeneland. The 1
1/16-mile race will offer a “Win & You’re In” berth for the Nov. 5 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) at Del Mar.

Double Thunder is
a contender for two-time Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Todd Pletcher. Hero of the Bashford Manor (G3) at Churchill Downs this summer, the son of 2010
Kentucky Derby victor Super Saver colt exits a victory in the Sept. 5 Sapling
S. at Monmouth Park. Paco Lopez retains the assignment aboard the gray colt.

Stellar Tap, who
exits a fifth as the favorite in the Sept. 18 Iroquois S. (G3), rates as a
rebound candidate for Steve Asmussen. Ricardo Santana Jr. will ride the gray
Tapit colt. Asmussen is also responsible for Costa Terra, who was last seen finishing a close third as the
favorite in the Ellis Park Juvenile S. Francisco Arrieta has the call.

Classic Causeway
and Don’t Wait Up merit respect
after sharp maiden wins at Saratoga. Great
Escape
exits a nice 2 1/4-length maiden triumph at Churchill Downs for
Rodolphe Brisset, and Rattle N Roll
romped by three lengths under the Twin Spires for Kenny McPeek.

Hopeful S. (G1) third-placer Kevin’s Folly is also part of a competitive 13-horse field, and American Sanctuary, King Curlin, Mac’s Time, Mr. Bouma,
and Seal Beach round out the cast.
