Churchill Downs Incorporated Foundation to Hold Three Derby Week 50/50 Charitable Gaming Raffles

Derby Day Raffle Guarantees Minimum $50,000 Pool, Half to Raffle Winner, Half to Thoroughbred Aftercare and other Charitable Initiatives

LOUISVILLE, KY., (Thursday, April 25, 2019) – Churchill Downs Incorporated Foundation today announced it has opened three separate 50/50 Charitable Gaming Raffles for Kentucky Derby week. A drawing for one of the three raffles will be held on each Thurby, Oaks and Derby days. Participants will have the chance to win half of each day’s raffle ticket sales. The other half of each day’s raffle ticket proceeds will go toward the Churchill Downs Incorporated Foundation to support its charitable industry initiatives, including Thoroughbred aftercare, permanently disabled jockeys and arts and educational opportunities for backside employees. Churchill Downs Incorporated Foundation will guarantee a minimum $50,000 pool for the Derby day raffle.

Tickets for each raffle may be purchased anytime from now until Thurby, Oaks and Derby days respectively at www.DerbyGives.com. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for all three raffles while attending any Derby week racing event starting on Opening Night presented by Budweiser. Raffle tickets are $5 and only open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who are legal residents of the United States as of the date or purchase.
