Fierceness, one of Repole Stable’s 20 nominees to lead all owners, was one of 54 horses under the care of Todd Pletcher that nominated to the Triple Crown.

Hades proved resolute on the front end in Saturday’s $260,000 Fountain of Youth (G2), recording a two-length upset win, and two-year-old champion Fierceness weakened to third at the 1-5 favorite.

All eyes will turn to Gulfstream Park this Saturday for the running of the $250,000 Holy Bull S. (G3), a 1 1/16-mile Road to the Kentucky Derby qualifier worth 20-10-6-4-2 points to the top five finishers.
