Triple B Farm’s Greyvitos posted a 2 1/4-length victory on Sunday night in Remington Park’s $402,400 Springboard Mile to make his debut on the 2018 Kentucky Derby Leaderboard.

The Springboard Mile joined the Road to the Kentucky Derby series of points races this year, and awarded 10-4-2-1 points to the top four finishers.

Greyvitos took home the majority of those points while landing in 7th on the Leaderboard after pulling off under Victor Espinoza Sunday evening. The Adam Kitchingman trainee tracked the early pace set by Major Brown before taking command rounding the final turn. The gray son of Malibu Moon drew off in the stretch, easily holding 2-1 favorite Combatant to second while stopping the clock in 1:37.14 over the fast dirt.

Combatant had 5 1/4 lengths to spare on 86-1 shot Kingsville, good for 14th on the Leaderboard. Kingsville held that same margin over Night Strike and made his bow on the list in 19th on the list. Night strike took home one point and sits in 26th.

Greyvitos earned his second straight win in this spot after breaking his maiden in the Bob Hope Stakes (G3) at Del Mar on November 11. The Virginia-bred is now 4-2-0-1 in his career and has banked $306,345 lifetime. He is out of the multiple Grade 3-winning Najran mare Snow Top Mountain, who is a half-sister to Grade 2 heroine Diversy Harbor and multiple Grade 3-winning millionaire Keertana. That latter mare produced this year’s Palm Beach Stakes (G3) victor Ticonderoga.
