Sire: Desert Party
Dam: Philippis

This colt has improved his BRIS Speed figure in five straight races and makes his stakes debut on this occasion. The New York-bred three-year-old draws inside and comes off a game allowance run when battling back after being passed in the stretch. He could take back some early on while saving ground in a field with ample pace.

This surging gelding owns a five-race win streak in which he has led at every call on each occasion. The dark bay Maryland-bred has shown marked improvement since joining the Rubley shedrow and is the clear one to beat in this spot. The four-time stakes winner retains Daniel Centeno in the irons and will aim to run them off of their respective hooves once again.

Owner: Skeedattle Associates

Trainer: Hamilton Smith
Jockey: Victor Carrasco
Sire: Done Talking
Dam: Golden Pleasant
Color: Dark Bay
This South Carolina-bred sophomore was no match for the favorite when fourth in the Private Terms following a slow start. The three-year-old gelding looked good in his maiden breaker two prior, and he could benefit from a swift and contested early tempo. This contender could get a share if he runs to his bullet five-eighths drill two back.

This contender did move forward some with the addition of blinkers most recently and continues to train well for Mark Shuman. The gelded Maryland-bred was game in defeat last time on this course and another forward move should find him battling for a piece at the finish.

Trainer: Claudio Gonzalez
Jockey: Jevian Toledo
Sire: Kitten’s Joy
Dam: Lone Tigress
Color: Dark Bay
This four-time stakes-placed gelding has been consistent, but he still has a lot of improvement to make in order to challenge the favorite in this spot. The Kentucky-bred three-year-old has a versatile running style that could see him sit just off the pace early on. He shows a trio of very good recent morning works in anticipation of this one, and he also gets a rider upgrade to Jevian Toledo.

Sire: Shackleford
Dam: Jessamine

This recent allowance winner outran his 27-1 odds going gate-to-wire last time as a rapidly improving colt. The $295,000 two-year-old purchase gets a nice draw outside of the compact field for his stakes debut. The Kentucky-bred will have to prove that he is ready to run 1 1/18 miles against this kind of company, though.
