The Japan Road to the Kentucky Derby resumes in the Hyacinth S. Tokyo, set for 12:25 a.m. ET late Saturday night.

Epic Ride, a 2024 Kentucky Derby alumnus, took trainer John Ennis to his first Derby, and the ride is not over yet. In January, the bay colt won his 4-year-old debut, and Sunday he makes his second start of 2025 in an allowance race at Turfway Park.

Despite weather delays, the Road to the Derby races continue with the John Battaglia Memorial at Turfway and the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

The lone international race on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks, Friday’s UAE Oaks (G3) at Meydan, features a heavy favorite in Queen Azteca.
